Rudie Nudie - Retiring Violet
This is one of my paint and yarn pieces that we affectionately call ‘Rudie Nudies’. A name that stuck after a conversation with my children about why I create art of naked ladies - more about this subject on my blog if you are interested.
The name for this lady was inspired by the purple background and her slightly shy pose as she leans away to one side.
She is quiet and very beautiful. She may be shy and subdued but the pips of pink abs brighter blue peeking through speak to her spark and spirit. Just because she is not loud does not mean she hasn’t got something to say.
There is a lot of me in this image. The shy girl who was at times underestimated because she didn’t shout the loudest.
