Where Flowers Bloom

£65.00

This little floral sketchy, painterly dibujo was inspired by a quote from Lady Bird Johnson.

‘Where flowers bloom so does hope.’ It was from a speech about the war on poverty. I think that the sentiment can be applied to so much.

This picture is so feminine. This lady is so serene and calm. She is surrounded by all the flowers, with her hair loose and flowing around her. Yet she is strong, she is relaxed in the power of the divine feminine.

I’m fascinated by the dichotomy of the often perceived weakness of femininity and the strength that women actually possess.
