Rudie Nudie - Contemplation

This is one of my paint and yarn pieces that we affectionately call ‘Rudie Nudies’. A name that stuck after a conversation with my children about why I create art of naked ladies - more about this subject on my blog if you are interested.

The figure here is sitting at her ease. She is quite relaxed and looking out, deep in thought.

I love the vibrant colours of this piece. The turquoise green, unapologetic sunshine yellow and pops of neon pink put me in mind of the Caribbean. The colours out there are something else, proper technicolour and I adore it. 

This lady embodies how I feel when I’m off somewhere in the sunshine, where the colours are bright and the sights, sounds and scents captivate you. Somewhere where you don’t have to force those mindful moments, they just happen.
