Making Waves

This piece was inspired by a little drawing in my sketchbook that I doodled one evening while thinking about the little changes I was making in my life and the way that those changes were growing into bigger things. 

It encapsulates stepping into your power. It depicts the ripples that make big waves. It inspires the small positive changes and practices that can have a more far reaching effect than we could ever imagine. 

I’m fascinated by the dichotomy of the often perceived weakness of femininity and the strength that women actually possess. So as with many of my pieces the figure here is both feminine and strong.
